Valerie Leimer, Major Products’ Chief Operating Officer, has served the company in a wide variety of roles throughout her career. As a child, Valerie spent her Saturdays at the office with her father, Daniel DeRose Jr., and during her school breaks, she helped with administrative work in the office. After graduating Cornell with a Food Science Degree, she spent her time focusing on ingredients, formulations and new product development. She loves being out with customers and hearing what is important to them. To bridge her love of food science with customer needs, her next role in the company was National Sales Manager. In her current role as Chief Operating Officer, Valerie is passionate about fostering operational excellence within the Major Products family, driving innovation and improving product lines; allowing the organization to serve their customers in the best possible way. When she’s not spearheading her strategic objectives, Valerie takes a hands-on approach in all aspects of the company, pitching in wherever and whenever she sees a need.
Some of the highlights of her time at Major Products so far include Major Products winning IFDA Partner of the Year (a peer-chosen honor) two years in a row, and continually witnessing the power food has to bring people together each and every day.
