Mushroom Brown Gravy
Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Butter
- 1 Lbs. Mushrooms (your choice of variety) Sliced
- 2 TBSP Oregano, Fresh Chopped
- 2 TBSP Thyme Leaves, Fresh, Chopped
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1 Gallon Water
- 1 Each 83221 Superb Major Brown Gravy Mix, No MSG 10073292832212
Directions
- In a pot or large sauce pan over medium high heat add butter
- Add oregano and thyme to the melted butter, top with the mushrooms
- Stir mushrooms to soften and incoprotate spices. Add salt when mushrooms are soft
- Add water to pot and bring to a warm temperature 110-150°F
- Add Major Products Brown gravy mix to the hot not boiling water and whisk to incorporate
- Continue whisking until gravy thickens and just starts to boil
- Remove from heat and serve immediately or hold hot for up to 4 hours
