Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Oil, Avocado/Light Olive
  • 1 Lbs. Onion, Yellow, Julienne 1/4"
  • 1/4 Cup Garlic, Chopped
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 2 TBSP 23306 Elite Major Chicken Stock Base, No MSG Added 10073292233064
  • 1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese, Shredded
  • 1 tsp. Thyme, Dry
  • 1 #10 can Diced Tomatoes with Juice
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 TBSP Black Pepper, Cracked
  • 1 tsp. Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Oregano, Dry
  • 2 oz. Basil Leaves, Fresh, Julienne Thin

Directions

  1. In a pot/arge sauce pan over medium high heat add oil and swirl to coat the bottom
  2. Add onions and garlic, saute until carmelized
  3. Combine water and Major Products Chicken Base in a bowl or measuring cup to create a stock
  4. Add stock mix, parmesan cheese, thyme, tomatoes, heavy cream, black pepper, red pepper flakes and oregano to the pot
  5. Whisk to combine all ingredients
