Tomato Bacon Bisque
Ingredients
- 6 oz. Bacon, Chopped
- 2 Medium Onion, Yellow, Julienne 1/4"
- 2 Cloves Garlic, Chopped
- 1 #10 can Whole Tomatoes, with Juice
- 3 TBSP 23306 Elite Major Chicken Stock Base, No MSG Added 10073292233064
- 2 TBSP 23516 Elite Major Bacon Stock Base, No MSG Added 10073292235167
- 1 Quart Water
- 2 TBSP Red Pepper Flakes
- 2 oz. Basil Leaves, Fresh, Julienne Thin
Directions
- In a pot/large sauce pan over medium high heat add bacon and cook until browned
- Add onions and garlic, Saute until onions are softened
- Combine water and Major Products Chicken and Bacon Base in a bowl or measuring cup to create a stock
- Add tomatoes and stock mix, red pepper flakes and basil
- Cover pot/pan and simmer for 30 minutes just below a boil
- Remove lid and blend all ingredients with a Bermixer/ hand wand until smooth
- Hold soup hot for 4 hours or remove from heat and chill, hold refrigerated up to 3 days
