Cream of Pea and Ham Soup
Serves 10-12


  • 1 Cup Green Split Peas
  • 2 Quarts Water
  • 1 Cup 23503 Elite Major Ham Stock Base, No MSG Added 00073292235030 Elite Ham Base
  • 2 oz. Heavy Cream
  • 6 oz. Cooked Bacon
  • Pinch Salt & Pepper


  1. Wash peas in cold water twice and drain
  2. In large pot add water and peas and bring to boil. Skim and simmer for approx.. 35 minutes until peas are well cooked. Add water back to 2 quart level and puree in a blender. Then return to soup pot
  3. Wisk in Elite Ham Base. Bring to a boil, then simmer
  4. Whisk in heavy cream and simmer for 5 minutes
  5. Garnish with bacon
  6. Salt and pepper to taste
